Daily Prompt: Do parties and crowds fill you with energy, or send you scurrying for peace and quiet?
As an introvert who generally prefers moderate background noise – silence, I would have to say that I’m more for the latter. Mostly, I feel that being at parties where you don’t know 6 out of 10 people is just plain awkward, not to mention it’s often crowded, hot and generally uncomfortable. Give me a quiet place any day.
That doesn’t mean it’s a hard-line decision though; if I happen to be in the right mood for it, ready to party, meet some people, have some fun and relax, it can be quite enjoyable – especially after a drink or two (no, it doesn’t have to be alcohol) has loosened my nerves.
